We offer mixed martial arts for competition, fitness and self-defence. Although we are focused on training individuals that want to try their hand in MMA competitions we also realize most will not want to compete. That is absolutely fine. If you are in it just for fun and fitness then you have come to the right place because what better way of getting in shape then training like a UFC fighter.

What to expect

Our kickboxing is primarily for those wishing to compete or learn self defence. However for those who do not wish to compete this class will get you in shape and raise your level of fitness through proper techniques and body movement while learning an efficient form of self-defence.

Each class lasts for one hour. The lesson begins with a brief minute warm-up which involves kicking, punching, and stretching. Then followed by 30 minutes for technique and instruction which involves the use of focus mitts and hand held kick shields with a partner mixed in with conditioning drills. The remaining time is set aside for a brief but intense conditioning portion which includes exercises with medicine balls, agility ladders, weights, bands etc.

Sparring (semi-contact fighting) this is available at certain times for those who are interested.

The grappling class is primarily done on the ground. These techniques are borrowed from judo, Brazilian Ju-jitsu and wrestling. The emphasis is to control and sub due your opponent on the ground with little or no effort. This is don through positional strategy and techniques use to submit your opponent.

A typical class involves 10-15 minutes of warm ups and conditioning, 30 minutes of technique practice with a willing partner, and the remaining time is for free sparring training, against an opponent of equal skill who

he MMA class is where we put the stand-up portion and the grappling portion together with takedowns. It will teach you the fundamentals that help you with the transition from stand-up to ground fighting.

Students can get a feel for varying fighting styles, body types, and levels of experience. The General MMA class is open to anyone who is interested in getting fit while learning the skills to fight MMA.

Also from the numerous contacts and alliances Chris has made over the years our members also will be offered from time to time the chance to train with some of the very best instructors and fighters from the South-western Ontario Area in such disciplines as Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing and MMA
